The Single Thing You Can Do To Slay Negativity
We all have experienced negativity at one point or another, whether it be from someone else or ourselves. We’re not good enough in our jobs, good enough in our home life, and we failed at this, that, or the other. As humans, negativity is unfortunately hardwired in our anatomy but that doesn’t mean that it needs to take over our lives.
Of the hundreds of thousands of tips and tricks that are floating around online about negativity, here’s the one thing you can do to slay it.
Seems simple, right? Just do something. Take action. When your blog post gets a snarky comment, write another post. When you lose your job, take a deep breath and update your resume. When you have a shitty day at work, go home and do your favorite hobby to relax your mind. When you have a shitty day at life, then write it down and get it all out.
Focus on the things you can control.
Taking action or doing something makes us less likely to becoming paralyzed and gets us one step closer to a win. When you sit, wallow and do nothing, your mental muscles seize up and fall prey to that negativity.
