Review: #4 brush da Vinci Watercolor Series 5358

Last week, I reviewed the da Vinci Watercolor Series 5358 #1 brush and LOVED it. The brush held tons of paint and water, formed a precise tip for detail work and had excellent flexibility. Big hit!  ⭐️ 👍🏻

I had purchased a set of these da Vinci brushes on Amazon for a little over $60. While I was a little nervous about the price point, the brushes proved to be a really good investment.

So how did the larger brush stack up? I used the #4 brush to paint in the background of a piece I was working on for a friend. The brush sopped up lots of water for the wash and glided it on nice and evenly across the paper. Although it is larger than the #1 brush, it still worked wonderfully for edging around the subject of the painting. I also found that the #4 brush still allowed a lot of control and featured a high absorption of paint and water.

#4 brush Verdict:

Again, this brush is a big hit! It's wonderful for large area washes but also allows lots of control around edges.
